Respond to Patient Reviews
Internal Use Only

Use the ability to respond to the Patient Satisfaction Surveys submitted by your patients as an extension of the services you provide in your office.

Your response to a given patient's feedback appears within your provider profile on Healthgrades.com, in-line with their comments.

Add Your Response

Not quite sure what to say? Check out these best practices for responding.

  1. Sign in to your Healthgrades provider profile.
  2. In the top navigation, click the Patient Experience dropdown and select Patient Reviews. The Patient Experience Reviews page shows all surveys submitted for you.
  3. For the review you want to respond to, click the Reply link to the right. The patient’s full review expands along with a free-text field where you can enter your response.
  4. In the Reply to the Comment field, enter up to 500 characters.
  5. Click Save. Your response is then submitted for review by Healthgrades before we post it publicly on Healthgrades.com.

Flag a Survey

If you're concerned the content of a given patient-submitted survey violates our Editorial Policy, you can ask Healthgrades to review it for potential removal. 

Although you can flag a review, Healthgrades makes the final decision regarding removing it from your profile.

  1. Sign in to your Healthgrades provider profile.
  2. In the top navigation, click the Patient Experience dropdown and select Patient Reviews. The Patient Experience Reviews page shows all surveys submitted for you.
  3. For the survey you want removed, click the Flag link to the right.
  4. Choose your reason for flagging along with any other details in the free-text field.
  5. Click Submit. Healthgrades will then review your reasoning and the survey in question before deciding whether to remove it from your profile.
  6. The survey is marked as Flagged in red.

Edit Your Response

You can revise your previously submitted response to a patient's survey.

  1. Sign in to your Healthgrades provider profile.
  2. In the top navigation, click the Patient Experience dropdown and select Patient Reviews. The Patient Experience Reviews page shows all surveys submitted for you.
  3. For the response you want to edit, click the More link at the end of the patient’s text review. The patient’s full review expands, along with your previous response.
  4. In the Your Reply field, click Edit. The field becomes editable to adjust your text as needed.
  5. Click Save. Your updated text is then resubmitted for review by Healthgrades before we post it publicly on Healthgrades.com.

Remove Your Response

You can remove your previously submitted response to a patient's survey.

  1. Sign in to your Healthgrades provider profile.
  2. In the top navigation, click the Patient Experience dropdown and select Patient Reviews. The Patient Experience Reviews page shows all surveys submitted for you.
  3. For the response you want to remove, click the More link at the end of the patient’s text review. The patient’s full review expands, along with your previous response.
  4. In the Your Reply field, click Remove.
  5. When prompted, confirm you want to remove your public response.
